Good code is very subjective, and aiming for perfect will grind your productivity to a halt. Instead, you should aim for your best.
People who do weight training understand this intuitively. You want to lift a weight at the gym that's hard enough you just fail after 8-12 reps. That's optimal for muscle growth. I've found something similar applies to programming.
If you're always trying your best, your best will get better. The quality of your code will get better, and you will get faster at writing it.
